Prof. Aida Todri-Sanial from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) delivered an inspiring invited talk on Physical Computing with Coupled Oscillators within the “Beyond von Neumann Computing” session.

She illustrated how dynamical systems—which naturally evolve, self-organize, and minimize energy—can be harnessed for physical computation, offering intrinsic parallelism to tackle complex optimization problems.
The talk provided an excellent overview of the current progress and future directions in coupled oscillatory neural networks (ONNs) — from mixed-signal and digital implementations developed at TU/e to novel material-based approaches explored in collaboration with IBM Research Europe – Zurich.
